In this busy world, we need something to make us feel good and to help us relax.

Throughout this article, I will help you understand the definition of mindfulness and it’s benefits.

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness means to be fully aware of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surroundings, without judgement.

So when you go for a mindful walk you actually take notice of every little detail and all that you discover; the trees, flowers, and cars, instead of thinking about what is for dinner or thinking about what you will be doing at work tomorrow.

Benefits of Practicing Mindfulness

#1. Mindfulness can be good for anxiety and depression

One study found that mindfulness practices is beneficial in decreasing the severity of anxiety and depression in various people.(study)

Mindfulness is known to help people have a healthier sense of self, as well as having feeling good about their body image and a higher self-esteem.

It can reduce the physiological markers of stress and to have a better outcome for the brain’s response to stress.
